Results not returned when working with aggregate functions. Query should produce results but Nav notes 0 rows returned.
There is no error message. If the aggregate function is taken out of the query, it works. This is only an issue if there are NULLs in the table/result set. If an NVL statement is added to the aggregate function, it will return the expected data. This is only an issue on one computer. Other computers don't have this problem. It is not specific to the user's login.
The query itself works in SQL Plus and returns the expected rows.
Related to issues with OLITE setting in the registry. The 'OLITE' registry entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE is detected and Nav takes Oracle client as lite if the 'OLITE' is set to YES, causing conflict.
RESOLUTION:
Change the value of 'OLITE' to NO
Exit Nav, then go to Start | Run | 'regedit'. In the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE find the 'OLITE' variable and change the value to NO.
Note the difference in reported Oracle version between the toolbox and the connection manager panels. One notes lite, but it is not necessarily a lite database/client.
