The following error occurred while collecting data
WMI query 'Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLServerOLAPService_MSAS2008Connection' failed : Invalid class. [0x80041010] [Error Code: -2147217392].
Table: SSAS - Connection
WMI classes are out of synchronization.
Here are 3 different wmic commands, you should run just one of them depending on version of SQL Server and instance name:
- default SQL Server 2005 instance:
wmic /node: MonHostName /user: DOMAIN\USER path Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLServerOLAPService_MSAS2005Connection
- default SQL Server 2008 instance:
wmic /node: MonHostName /user: DOMAIN\USER path Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLServerOLAPService_MSAS2008Connection
Named SQL Server instance 2005 or 2008:
wmic /node: MonHostName /user: DOMAIN\USER path Win32_PerfRawData_MSOLAPInstanceName_MSOLAPInstanceNameConnection
where InstanceName needs to be replaced with actual SQL Server instance name.
For e.g. the “csosql41” is default SSAS 2008 instance, the query should look at the following one:
wmic /node: csosql41 /user: DOMAIN\USER path Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLServerOLAPService_MSAS2008Connection
Run it from the DS machine specifying valid credentials.
If the result is "'Node - csosql41 ERROR: Description = Invalid class”
Then it is confirmed that WMI classes are out of sync and need to be re-enabled.
