There are occurrences where there is need to create SQL Server jobs that have multiple steps. In some of those jobs, the job will continue even if a step has failed. Therefore job is set that way that each step is said to continue to the next one, even if it fails. From Management Studio, you can see in the job's history that one of the steps has failed. However, the overall job is considered to have succeeded. As a result, Spotlight does not alarm you that a step has failed. Therefore you can have a job that has a failed step for a very long time.

NONE. Spotlight is reporting on the status of teh job as per design.
