Spotlight Diagnostic Server service restarts itself every few minutes (4335492)

The Spotlight Diagnostic Server service restarts itself every few minutes.
All the permissions are properly set up and the Diagnostic Server and the Spotlight CIient machine meet all the system requirements.
There is also a lot of RAM free when the crash occurs so this is not a memory issue.

In the Event Viewer we can see the error mesage: "The Spotlight Diagnostic Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 26 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 120000 milliseconds: Restart the service." every time the restart occurs.

This was working before.
The problems started  when the  latest windows server 2012 R2 updates were applied.

Please reinstall Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
Back up the Diagnostic Server\Agent directory first (the default location is C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\Agent).
