Is there a way to configure an analysis services connection with another account other than the Quest Diagnostic Server service account. within Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise?

Cause
This is a limitation of Analysis Services; it allows using only Windows Authentication.

Resolution
You can run Management Studio and see that it doesn’t allow specifying credentials when connecting to Analysis Services servers. Unfortunately it is not possible to implement: any other connection as Analysis Services only allows using integrated security. You can run SSMS and select “Analysis Services” as Server type to see that is doesn’t allow supplying credentials as previously mentioned.
