Spotlight Home screen shows the following error for Sessions and Processes metrics: "The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding"
Description

Spotlight Home screen shows no data for the Sessions and Processes metrics and the following error appears. The SQL Activity Sessions drilldown also shows no data with the same error:
"Number of System SQL Server sessions
The following error occurred while collecting data
Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. : The wait operation timed out [0xFFFFFFFE] [Error Code: -2]."
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
None
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in the future release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
