Spotlight version 11.0 new design of mobile monitoring automatically installs a newly designed Web Publisher during the Spotlight client installation. This new Web Publisher is internal to the Spotlight client, and there are no external services/programs installed.
With this change in architecture, it is no longer necessary to download and install a separate Spotlight Web Publisher to use this service. If you have upgraded from an earlier version and used this service in the past to monitor your connections from your mobiel device, it needs to be removed. It was not a part of the Spotlight install, so it will not be remove as an automatic process, and requires a manual removal process. That process is described below.
The following additional upgrade instructions are required:
1. Uninstall the Spotlight Web Publisher via Windows | Control Panel | Programs and Features. By default the Spotlight Web Publisher was installed on the same computer as the Spotlight Diagnostic Server.
2. Start Spotlight. Click Configure | Spotlight Essentials. Select "Upload mobile monitoring data to Spotlight Essentials" option. Ensure that your Spotlight Essentials account details are correct.
