SoSSE 7.0.1 alerts on the following error...
Monitored Server - SQL Server Unplanned Outage: A transport level error has occurred when sending the request to the server
an existing connection was forcibly closed by remote host 10054
Resolution

Here are a few common reasons for this error to occur:
1. The monitored server has been restarted, this will close the existing connections (see SQL Server log)
2. Someone or something has killed the Spotlight SPID that is being used.
3. There is a failover (in a mirror setup for example) again, take a look in the SQL Server log.
