Unable to load assembly (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient) -
Description
After moving the Spotlight Diagnostic Server to a new server and new DB server there are issues with connection to some servers.
All of them says Ensure that the correct SQL Server tools are installed on host.
Error message:
Cannot connect to Analysis Services instance '<instancename>' :
Unable to load assembly (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient). Ensure that the correct SQL Server tools are installed on host <hostname>. See Requirements/Additional Software in the release notes for details. -
Resolution
Please install SQL Client on the Diagnostic Server which is the same version as the version of SQL Server Analysis.
