1. The latest version of Spotlight can be downloaded from the Quest Support Portal:
https://support.quest.com/spotlight-on-sql-server-enterprise/download-new-releases
2. Once upgraded to 12.4 or later, go to “Configure | Alarms”
3. Change from “Factory Setting (Templates)” to the SQL Server name that you want to change the configuration
4. Look for “SQL Agent – Jobs Failed” and double click to edit
5. Highlight “Default Severity” and add the following parameter into the “Message” as shown in the screen shot below:
{{SQLAgentJobsFailed.JobCategory}}
6. Save the changes by clicking on “OK”
7. Once a “SQL Agent Jobs Failed” alarm fires, the alarm message will include the SQL Agent Job category as show in the screen shot below
8. At this point, you can go to “Configure | Alarm Actions” and create an alarm action to filter out the SQL Agent Job category shown in the alarm message
9. As shown in the screen shot below you can use the condition “The details contain” then add the SQL Agent Job category
