Spotlight no longer connects to any connection, with the error 'Invalid Argument' or 'List Index Out Of Bounds (3)' upon connection or startup.

Spotlight no longer connects to any connection, with the error 'Invalid Argument' or 'List Index Out Of Bounds (3)' showing upon connection or startup.

In Spotlight 13.1 some changes about the License function were made. In these changes we set a “max date time value” for some types of the license. This Max datetime is transferred to the Client and is converted to local time. Since the daylight savings time change on March 26th 2020, adding the increment caused by the time zone change, the datetime value has overflow than the max value  “ 12/31/9999 23:59:59:999”  and an unexpected error is raised.

RESOLUTION 1:
The issue is now resolved and the fix is included in the latest Spotlight installer, which can be downloaded from here

 

RESOLUTION 2:
Download the attached zip file with a replacement Spotlight.exe file inside.
Once downloaded, please unzip the file and put it in the {spotlight Client install directory }\console\ folder, and replace the existing spotlight.exe.
