Statistics Repository Database Queue errors: "Queueing data prior to insertion in the Spotlight Statistics Repository failed"
Description

Persistent errors shown in Spotlight:
"Queueing data prior to insertion in the Spotlight Statistics Repository failed: Data was being written to disk because the database connection is not available. However writing to disk has now been stopped to prevent filling the disk and data is being discarded.”
Cause

SQL Agent Jobs collection needs to be optimized in insertion of data to the Statistics Repository database.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
1. Go to the Diagnostic Server installation folder: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\Agent\conf\Procedure
2. Backup SQLServer_SpotLight-SQLAgentJobList.xml file to your Desktop (outside of this path)
3. Paste the attached file to the same path
4. Restart the Spotlight Diagnostic Server services
**This change will disable collection of SQL Agent Jobs for to the repository database for reporting
STATUS:
Issue fixed in the current release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise. Latest version of Spotlight can be downloaded from here.
