Alarm configuration exclusion Value list not populated when using Templates.
Description

Alarm configuration exclusion Value list is not populated when using Templates. In previous versions, using 'default settings' and changing alarm configuration of some alarms such as ‘Database – Dynamic Log File Growth’ alarm, Spotlight would populate exclusion Value list with database names of all connections. In Spotlight 11.5, using a template, this list is empty.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
1. Select Configure | Alarm Actions option from top of screen
2. Click New and provide name to this rule
3. Click 'The alarm is' from left list
4. Click 'alarms' at bottom and from SQL Server list, check the Database Data File Growths alarm and OK
4. Click 'Detail Contains' from left list and click 'following phrases' at bottom
5. Click 'do not contain any of the following phrases' option. Click Add button. Enter the name of the one database that user wants to see the alarm for. Click OK.
5. Click 'Suppress the alarm' from right list and click OK to close window
STATUS:
Issue fixed in the latest version of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise. Click here to download the latest version.
