WMI error monitoring SSAS 2017 instances: "WMI query 'Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLServerOLAPService_MSAS13Connection' failed : Invalid class" -
Description
User cannot monitor SSAS 2017 instances. These instances are 2017 CU4. The WMI errors in Spotlight point to MSAS13 pertaining to SSAS 2016 instances:
"WMI query 'Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLServerOLAPService_MSAS13Connection' failed : Invalid class. [0x80041010] [Error Code: -2147217392]."

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
1. Login to the server where Spotlight Diagnostic Server is installed2. Go to folder: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\Agent\conf\Procedure. Locate the following files:AnalysisServices_Spotlight-WMIClassName.xmlAnalysisServices_Spotlight-WMIFormattedClassName.xmlAnalysisServices_Spotlight-UpdateAnalysisServicesVersion.xml3. Make a backup copy of these files to a different location, do not rename or backup in the same path4. Copy and paste attached files here5. Go to folder C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\Agent\conf\Technology. Locate below file:database.xml6. Make a backup copy of file to a different location, do not rename or backup in the same path7. Copy and paste attached file here8. Restart Diagnostic Server servicesSTATUS:
