Cannot delete or add connection in Spotlight. Duplicate connection shown in connection tree of Heat Map. -
Description
User found duplicate SQL Server connection in connection tree. User attempted to delete and recreate using Connection Manager. Unable to recreate - connection. Spotlight states ""A connection with these details already exists". -
Resolution
1. Stop Diagnostic Server services2. Go to Diagnostic Server installation folder (C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\Agent) and perform a search on any file name having instance name plus "_sqlserver" word added, i.e. instance1_sqlserver.3. Remove all files found4. Restart Diagnostic Server services
