User creates alarm rule with WriteToEventLogOperation and gets following error on all SQL instances:
"Action 'Action/{6AE77F35-5570-4199-8B6E-564BF8C278B7}/WriteToEventLogOperation/' failed : ERROR: Value for '/d' option cannot be empty.Type 'EVENTCREATE /?' for usage.E:\Program Files\Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\agent>eventcreate /t ERROR /id 1 /l Application /so 'Spotlight on SQL Server' /d '' [1]"
WORKAROUND:
Edit the alarm action and click on the Spotlight on SQL Server hyperlink (in alarm rule). In dialog that opens, enter text below into the message field:
Spotlight has raised an alarm: Connection: {{CONNECTION_NAME}} Time: {{TIME}} Severity: {{SEVERITY}} {{ALARM_NAME}}: {{MESSAGE}}

Issue fixed in the current release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise. Latest version of Spotlight can be downloaded from here.
