ASE Server 15.0.3 running as a Windows service. Spotlight on Sybase works with all other versions of ASE Windows service except 15.0.3.
WORKAROUND:
Stop ASE 15.0.3 service in Control Panel, then start the ASE server again using a BAT file provided by Sybase. Below are the steps;
1. Stop the ASE Windows service
2. Open a command prompt
3. Execute "cd %SYBASE%\%SYBASE_ASE%\install"
4. Execute "run_tcpd6_ase.bat"
Once the ASE server started, Spotlight on Sybase should able to run without any problem.
OR
Contact Sybase to obtain a hot fix.
This is a known issue in ASE 15.0.3 and it will be fixed in ESD #2.
