Do I need to have the Spotlight client opened for collecting of information or uploading of data to Spotlight Cloud?
Resolution
No. Spotlight on Oracle consists of 2 parts:
Spotlight Diagnostic Server
Spotlight Client
Collecting of information, predictive diagnostic, upload to Spotlight Cloud is done by Diagnostic Server. Spotlight Client is only GUI which displays information and provide interface for configuration.
