Can't get ASM sub-system configured properly - Receive Error: "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve t (18811)

What does Spotlight expect in the tnsnames.ora file in order to connect to the ASM database?

I am encountering the following error when connecting:

"The following ASM error occurred in WMS during connection:

ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified

Do you want to ignore this and continue connecting?"

The port number for ASM cannot be the same as the nodes.

Oracle is resolving the ASM instance by using the tnsnames adapter. Specify it in the listener.ora and recycle everything to resolve this issue.
