Resolution
First verify that the password entered in the Connection profile is for the â€syss†user on this ASM instance plus try connecting remotely through SQLplus preferably from the machine Spotlight is installed on. For example using the following command:
connect sys@<ASM_INSTANCE> as sysdbaAfter that if you are getting following message :"Windows Performance Counter Datasource:You have already connected to "\\NAME" using different logon details. Subsequent connections using different details are not supported by Windows. Either connect using the same details, or do not specify a user name and password (Windows will use the existing connection.)Error 1219: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again."That means, that In the Spotlight connection profile if you do not specify a username and password for the OS Windows details, then Spotlight will attempt to use the credentials that were used to login to the client machine to establish a connection to the Win2003 server. [or also use username/password that may have been provided, to establish a connection to this machine via another product e.g. windows explorer]
