Getting ORA-01406 when looking at the Shared pool Drilldown in Spotlight on Oracle -
Description
When I click on the Shared pool drilldown with Spotlight on Oracle I get an ORA-1406 error message.

Cause
The problem is being caused by data being accessed by the query that is being run within the database not being of a sort that is recognized by the query.

Resolution
If you are using Spotlight on Oracle 4.5.2.860 then please follow the details below. For any earlier or later versions of Spotlight on Oracle please contact Quest support:
1. Exit Spotlight
2. Go to the directory C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Spotlight\Plug-ins\SQLNet
3. Rename the existing SQLNET.sdx file to be SQLNET.old
4. Unzip and copy in the new SQLNET.sdx file in the attached winzip into the same directory.
5. Run Spotlight, connect, and try the Shared Pool Utilization drilldown -
