When testing the connection in Spotlight 7.6, the Oracle connection is successful but the Unix connnection fails with the following message...
Unix connection
Login credentials are incorrect
...I have verified the credentials are correct.
Resolution

WORKAROUND
If the default shell of the Unix account is csh, try using ksh or bash
