Error: "A connection has been made but no valid template was found." -
Description
After upgrading Spotlight on Oracle to version 4.5.2 the following error occurred:
"A connection has been made but no valid template was found."
Even there is no way to change the Spotlight template using connections properties. -
Cause
Old or corrupt template.

Resolution
SOLUTION 1:
Uninstall Spotlight, remove all old Spotlight folders from the file system and reinstall Spotlight.
SOLUTION 2:
Replace the corrupt Spotlight template with the attached template. Note: The attached template can be used only for Spotlight version 4.5.2
1. Download the attached zip file
2. Copy it to the template directory. Default is: "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Spotlight\Console\Templates"
3. Rename the existing SpotlightOnOracle.stx to SpotlightOnOracle.stx_bak
4. Copy the SpotlightOnOracle.stx from the zip file into the template directory. -
