When installing Spotlight on Oracle from within the Toad for Oracle DBA Suite installer, the Installation Error 1603 message is shown and the installation does not continue.
Extract the individual product MSI installers to a new directory where you can run them individually.
To extract the MSI files:
1. Save the installer to a location on the computer
2. Go to Start | Run
3. Type CMD
4. At the prompt, for example, type: C:\>“Toad DBA Suite for Oracle 10.6.1 Commercial.exe” /extract
5. In the window which opens, save the MSI files to a directory and run the Spotlight .msi file installer individually
