OS statistics for Disk IO, Network and Paging/Paging rates are not working. No data is displayed.
WORKAROUND:
Paging and Scanning Rates:
To obtain Paging and Scanning Rates from Linux Kernel 2.6 is not available. This should be available in the next Spotlight on Oracle release.
Network chart:
The parsing of the underlying data is going to be problematic as the output returned from the "netstat -i" command does not have data delimited [separated] in some of the columns - this is a Linux kernel bug which has been reported by others in the LINUX world.
To diagnose create a traced support bundle and look at the Network.txt file. Here an example from the Network.txt:
Iface MTU Met RX-OK RX-ERR RX-DRP RX-OVR TX-OK TX-ERR TX-DRP TX-OVR Flgeth0 1500 0493449960 0 0 0531130914 0 0 0 BMsRU
The number 0493449960 belongs to the columns Met and RX-OK but the number is not delimited. Also the number 0531130914 belongs to the columns RX-OVR and TX-OK and even this one is not delimited.
In the extreme rebooting the Linux server will fix this problem for a time as it will reset the counters.
Disk IO chart:
1. Shutdown Spotlight
2. Backup the UNIX.xml file in the .\Spotlight\plug-ins\SoO directory
3. Download the attached Unix.zip and unzip it. Copy the extracted UNIX.xml into the above SoO directory
4. Restart SoO
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of Spotlight on Oracle.
