When in RAC environment, user cannot connect on the other node or DB when QSA is not running on the node where it was installed. A pop window appears with the following message:
Space Manager with LiveReorg has attempted to connect to a RAC system. There has been a RAC misconnect.
This client is connecting to:
Instance: <Instance name> host: <Host name>
But the Quest Server Agent has been installed on:
QSA Instance: <Instance name> QSA host: <Host name>
Please create an entry in your TNSNAMES.ORA file to connect to the QSA instance indicated above.
If QSA is not running, you are prevented from connecting to a RAC instance which is product defect.
WORKAROUND:
Start QSA manually on the server, and then logon with Space Manager.
