The combination of using IP address in the currrent config file and no reverse DNS or no entry in the hosts file.
SInce the ip address is used as target system, compare/repair will using IP address as the default route. However, compare/repair needs to convert the IP address to the hostname which can be done with reverse DNS or /etc/hosts.
If DNS was not configured with reverse lookup and no entry for target system in the /etc/hosts, compare/repair will fail to resolve the IP address to server name.
1. running compare/repair with target's hostname
2. adding target hostname into /etc/hosts
3. reconfiguring DNS to allow reverse lookup.
