Can Provision be used in an Open Target environment?
The Provision utility only changes the IP/hostname embedded in some files in the rim or other subdirectories under the variable directory to reflect the new settings when changing the IP/hostname in a replicating environment. The Open Target environment has the same architecture as that of the Oracle targets as far as queues and other files that have IP/hostname are concerned. Hence Provision can be used where the target is an Open Target.
