Are there any special considerations for configuring SharePlex when TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) is enabled on the target database?
There are no special considerations when enabling TDE on target database. As far as the target goes, we do not even care about TDE if one existed. The TDE comes into play on source where we have to read the online/archive logs. On the target the Post process simply submits the SQLs to the database, just like any other user in the database. So if TDE is implemented on target, there is nothing required on the part of SharePlex.
One additional note: If the target is also a secondary node in a peer to peer or a HA environment, then SharePlex needs to be configured appropriately to take into account the TDE setting.
