Post process status shows running, but there is no messages being posted. Number of messages continue to grow as well as backlog, usually accompanied by share memory error when one tries to run qview -i
Semaphores show no entry for splex user, but shared memory has entries -
Cause
Hanging Oracle sessions have not released shared memory. Process may or may not be released by restart of cop.

Resolution
Stop cop, connect to the database and terminate any identified connection to the database by splex user. This should clean out the shared memory issues, but check with od -x command. Clean up shared memory and semaphores as appropriate.
