Installing 7.0.2.24 on HP11.31 PA Risc with oracle 9i or 10g getting not compatible with "hp11 -
Description
For 7.0.2.24, we only have HP-UX 11.11 binary for 9i and 10g and it will install only on HP11.23 PA Risc servers and will fail on HP11.31 PA Risc servers with following message:
>> ...Installation failed...
>> Installation log saved to:
>> /tmp/INSTALL-SharePlex-7.0.2-1103172219.log
>> ERROR: tpm: system-check-platform: Product platform "hp11-11-pa" is
>> not compatible with "hp11-31-pa"

Cause
the installation checks only HP11.23

Resolution
To install it on HP11.31 PA Risc server for oracle 9i or oracle 10g,
1. You need to extract the .tpm by invoking the installation with option --extract
./SharePlex-7.0.2-b24-oracle92-hp11-11-pa.tpm --extract
cd /meta-info
and then editing file "prodinfo" to replace all occurrences of "hp11-23-pa" with "hp11-31-pa".
2. After that, invoke the installation with the following command:
./tools/bin/tpm-install
