When issuing "orainfo", message "oracle information not available" is printed on the screen.
Either ora_setup was not run, the statusdb file is missing or corrupt, or orainfo is being executed from an older version of SharePlex which does not support this command.
1. Check that SharePlex version is 7.5+
2. If the SharePlex version is below 7.5 then orainfo is being executed from an older instance of SharePlex where command is not supported.
3. If on SharePlex version 7.5+, check that ora_setup was run
3.1. Go to vardir/data
3.2. cat paramdb file
3.3 verify that there is splex login and password indicating that ora_setup was ran
example:
SP_ORD_LOGIN_O.{SID} "579f9a95b2"
SP_ORD_OWNER_O.{SID} "splex"
3.4. If the splex login credentials do not exist in the paramdb file, then ora_setup was not run, please run ora_setup.
4. Check that the statusdb file exists
4.1. Go to vardir/data
4.2. ls -ltr "statusdb"
4.3. If the statusdb is missing, then contact SharePlex Support for assistance recreating the statusdb as this is the cause of the orainfo returning "oracle information not available"
4.4. If the vardir/data/statusdb exists, then this is not the cause of the orainfo returning "oracle information not available"
4.5 If the statusdb file does not exist or is empty, contact shareplex support as there may be other issues occurring on this server
