Can Secure Copy 6.5 be installed on Windows 2000 operating system?
Description

When running the installer for Secure Copy 6.5 or later on Windows 2000, a message is displayed that .NET framework 4.0 or later is required and installation cannot continue.
Cause

The .NET 4 framework is a prequisite for Secure Copy 6.5 or later.

Microsoft does not support .NET 4.x on Windows 2000 operating system.
Resolution

The .NET 4.x framework is compatible with the following operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows XP
• Vista
• 2003
• 2008
• 2008 R2
• Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Windows 8 (32-bit or 64-bit)
