Resizing SRP Shadow Copy Storage (4034305)

You receive the following errors when completing a snapshot on your Agent.

“AsyncWait for DoSnapshotSet failed – Insufficient storage capacity “

“Unable to take VSS snapshot and transfer data for ‘C:, C:\Windows\SRPPartition: There is insufficient storage space on the VSS snapshot volume(s) to take a snapshot. Try to free up disk space, or modify the HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VolSnap\MinDiffAreaFileSize registry setting to a smaller number. There are two possible resolutions to this issue.

Option 1

1. Open a command prompt.
2. Type VSSadmin Resize ShadowStorage /For=C: /On=C: /maxsize=unbound.
3. Select Enter.
4. Perform a snapshot.

Option 2

1. Right click the C:\ drive and select Configure Shadow Copies.
2. Select the desired volume and enable (if it is disabled).
3. Select Settings and select a higher setting or select No Limit.
4. Click OK.
5. Perform a snapshot.
