Alerts stating “snapshot has failed to start” for random agents at random times
By default a core can only process 1 agent snapshot transfer at any given time. If multiple agents have similar snapshot intervals and were protected at the same time (one after the other within a 6 hour timeframe) you can run into issues where there are multiple agents attempting to transfer its snapshot / backup at the same time. Any agents attempting to send data to the core while the core is already processing the data from another agent all subsequent agent transfers will fail.
Open the Replay Admin Console
Right Click the Core icon in the console and choose properties
Tab over to the Settings Tab which is the Concurrent Snapshot Setting
Raise this value slightly to allow for multiple transfers but the higher the value the more data will be transferred over the network at the same time and if the value is too high you may see timeouts reported and snapshots fail once they start the transfer.
***This value determines how many agent transfers can be performed at the same time***
***A value that is too high will cause network saturation if the network experiences latency already***
