When attempting to add an Archive Manager (AM) instance as storage in Recovery Manager for Exchange (RME) the previously used credentials are used. (4253606)

Consider the following scenario:

1. Launch Recovery Manager for Exchange (RME) console and attempt to add a storage from Quest Archive Manager (AM).
2. Logon using Windows authentication credentials for User A.
3. It will display the mailboxes assigned to User A in AM
4. Attempt to add another storage from Quest Archive Manager this time using the credentials for User B
5. Expected:  Return mailboxes assigned to User B in AM. Actual result: displays mailboxes User A can access in AM (i.e.same results as in step 3 above)
6. This can also be verified on the AM server by checking the log file AMIOWebService.wlog (it can be seen that the credentials for User A were used in the second attempt even if the credentials for user B were specified)

STATUS

This has been identified as a product defect in Archive Manager 5.1.2. Change Request TF00489487 has been raised for this to be fixed in a future release of Archive Manager. It's expected to be included in 5.2

WORKAROUND

Use the old AM API:

1. Launch Regedit on the RME Machine
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Dell\Recovery Manager for Exchange
3. Change the AmUseWebServiceAPI key to True (the Default value- False - instructs RME to use new API, which however, in this case doesn't seem to give appropriate results)
4. Attempt to connect again using credentials for User B. This time it should display the mailboxes assigned to User B in AM
