Does RMAD (including FE) encrypt Data In-Transit? -
Resolution
- RMAD/FE uses RPC with RPC_C_AUTHN_LEVEL_PKT_PRIVACY flag set for all kinds of communication between agents and consoles
- It means that traffic is encrypted, and data integrity is checked as well
- More information about RPC flags can be found here
- Backup copy to storage traffic is not encrypted by default, however you can enable backup encryption - in this case it will be encrypted too
