Replication setup fails with the error: The host name contains invalid characters. Do not use these characters (4382223)

When trying to set up a replication using the first replication method, "I have a subscription to a third party providing off-site backup and disaster recovery services", at the end of the replication wizard, it fails with the error "The host name contains invalid characters. Do not use these characters"

This has been identified as a product defect # RR-111991. 

This will be fixed in a future release.

Workaround

• If you have the user credentials for the target core, use the 2nd replication method "I have my own target Core"
• If you don't have the user credentials for the target: 
  • Go into the core settings
  • Check the display name
  • Remove any blank spaces.

Example:

Display name: Core 1
Workaround name: Core1.
