File "tracing.e2e" grows to a big size. -
Description
File "tracing.e2e" on location C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\CoreService can sometimes grow to a large size which can fill up the C: volume. -
Cause
This has been identified as a defect [ RR-106007 ] and will be addressed in future builds. -
Resolution
e2e tracing files are used by developers to follow the execution of code in Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). You can find more information about it here.
Please follow these steps to remove the file if needed:
1. Gracefully stop the Core service and disable it.
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\CoreService and locate the "tracing.e2e" file.
3. Delete the "tracing.e2e" file.
4. Start the Core service and you will see the file recreated but it will start from 0 KB.
