The issue you are experiencing is a VDS confliction between HIT and Windows as AppAssure uses VDS to gather metadata from the system AppAssure is installed on.

Please check to see if the Virtual Disk Service (VDS) provider was installed with the HIT Kit on your server.
To work around this issue, either run a repair on your HIT Kit installation and remove the VDS provider or modify the affected AppAssure Agent/Core's registry.
