In order to maintain proper functioning of the DVM repositories some free space must be maintained. If not enough free space is available fragmentation will occur and this will cause a slowdown in performance. What constitutes 'enough' free space depends on a number of factors and it will vary for different environments.
We have warning events at 80%, 95% and 98%. Because of the guidelines above, the warning at 80% is sent every 2 weeks; the 95% warning is sent every day. Notifications will be seen at minimum, in the Alerts section of the home page in the Web UI. In addition, you can receive notifications by email, windows event log, syslogd, toast alerts, and SNMP trap, if enabled in the Notification Groups section in the Web UI.
