When Rapid Recovery agent software is reinstalled on a protected machine and the agent is re-protected, the recovery points from before the reinstall are not being paired together with this same agent on the core.
The Agent ID will be found in the Web URL, for example, https://ra-core1:8006/apprecovery/admin/ProtectedMachines/ce6528f3-739f-42c2-8762-6e19d001076a. In this case the Agent ID is ce6528f3-739f-42c2-8762-6e19d001076a. Copy this ID.
On the Agent.
3. Open a SSH session to the agent
sudo service rapidrecovery-agent stop
sudo vi /root/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software/apprecovery/agent/agentid/values.xml
6. Locate
<value name="Id" type="string">befd6062-4f8a-4be6-b73a-0c29e0f03a7f </value>
This is the unique ID of the new agent from step #2.
7. Replace the value with the correct unique Agent ID value that is from the original agent as copied from the core (from step #1).
8. Backup and delete the AgentPairingSettings xml file (this file will be recreated after the agent is re-protected having the correct unique Agent Id - in step #9 below).
Backup
cp /root/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software/apprecovery/agent/agentpairingsettings/values.xml /<backuplocation>/agentidvalues.xml
Delete
rm /root/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software/apprecovery/agent/agentpairingsettings/values.xml
sudo service rapidrecovery-agent start
10. On the Core console, unprotect the agent by going to the agent > in the Summary tab > under the Actions drop down menu > Select Remove Machine (this is to remove existing protected agent having the incorrect agent id).
11. Protect the Agent and its recovery points will be paired together.
