Error: "TB of free space is additionally required on <\\UNC share>" after repository migration -
Description
Repository was migrated to another storage, which is presented as CIFS/UNC share. Attempts to fix the path in the Core console GUI generates an error: "<X> TB of free space is additionally required on <\\UNC share>" -
Resolution
To resolve the issue please perform the following:
- open regedit
- navigate to HKLM\Software\Apprecovery\Core\RepositoriesEach subkey is representing a repository GUID. Please drill down each one, to find the Specification key, to verify that GUID belongs to the affected repository path.
- stop the Core service
- export the repository GUID to the file for backup purposes and delete it
- start the Core service
- go to Core console, More (...), Repositories. The affected repository should no longer be listed
- click on "Add existing DVM repository" and point it to the new location
