A warning is displayed on the top of the Core Console. Details reveals that the service unable to start is the 'snmpService'
snmpService: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted
Possible causes:
- If Windows SNMP service is enabled it will already be listening on port 161.
- 3rd party monitoring software using snmp for monitor, is listening on port 161.
How to check what is using port 161:
Use Netstat to verify if port 161 is already in use, when Rapid Recovery Core service is stopped.
From an elevated commandprompt;
netstat -aon | findstr 161
If port 161 is already listening. Use the PID to find what service is using port 161.
