Issue is specific to Cores installed on Windows Server 2016. When protecting a machine with an Agent or adding a Core to out going replication, the connection fail. The Protection Wizard will fail with "Failed to get metadata from 'AgentNameorIP'." The Replication Wizard will fail with "Unable to connect to remote server."
Look at the stack trace to confirm the issue. You will see a common root cause Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.
