Resolution 1:
- Check for IPv6 on agent machine.
- Disable (if IPV6 is enabled).
- Check for IPv6 entries on DNS servers and delete.
- Refresh MetaData for the Agent on the Core as follows:
1. Select the Agent.
2. Select Actions and click Refresh Metadata.
Resolution 2:
If the Agent still resolves to IPv6 when pinged:
- Run netstat -aon | find "8009" and if any process is running on this port.
- Verify Firewall rules and check if any Antivirus is installed on the protected agent.
1. Create Firewall rules for port 8009.
2. Add Antivirus Exclusions.
- Go to Agent | Configuration| Settings
1. Change the host name input box from "current_hostname" to the IPv4 address.
2. Force a backup and check if the transfer is now successful.
