What are the “include” and “exclude” column list options compare repair?
These options allow compare or repair of a table based on the subset of columns specified in the command. Here are the salient points:
If the “include” option is specified, then only those columns that are in the include list are used as a criteria in compare/repair to determine if the row is in sync or not, and in case of repair only the columns in the include list are repaired.
If the “exclude” option is specified, then only all columns except the ones in the exclude list are used as a criteria in compare/repair to determine if the row is in sync or not, and in case of repair only the columns in the exclude list are repaired.
You can either use the “exclude” or “include” option but not both as they are mutually exclusive.
If the table have a unique or primary key then the key column should be present in the “include” column list. Key column should not be present in the "exclude" column list.
Since only a subset of columns are compared/repaired when using include/exclude option, it cannot be conclusively said that the table is in sync.
