After the installation of Expert Assist on Windows 7 workstations there is a Desktop Authority mirror driver installed that is classified as unknown by the Windows device manager.
In the Remote Management object of Desktop Authority if an element is created with the “Use mirror display driver” option checked it could cause the Windows 7 operating system to see it as an unknown driver in the Windows device manager.
Uninstall the Expert Assist program located in the Add/Remove programs of the Windows control panel.
Once Expert Assist has been removed open the windows registry and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | DesktopAuthority and delete the DesktopAuthority key. Next navigate to HKEY_Local_Machine | Software | Wow6432Node | Scriptlogic and delete the RMUUpgradeFailed Key. Once the removal is complete reboot the workstation.
