Steps that need to be done.
1. Do a full backup of the DAConfiguration database and DAReporting database as per the following knowledge base article 118314.
2. Uninstall Desktop Authority and reboot the server..
Note: Even if Desktop Authority is presently installed it needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled to take affect. If not files and folders will still be pointing to the old domain controller.
3. Log on to the new domain with the new domain admin account.
4. Restore the DAConfiguration database and DAReporting database to the new SQL instance name on the new domain.
4. Install Desktop Authority on the member server. .
Note: If SQL is installed on a different server. Log on to the SQL Server on to the new domain verifying the account that will be running Desktop Authority has full rights to the DAConfiguration and DAReporting databases the following knowledge base article SL4395.
