When opening the Expert Assist Console from a browser remote machine, one of the following messages may be displayed:
"Application Blocked by Java Security". "For security, applications must now meet the requirements for the High or Very High security settings, or be part of the Exception Site List, to be allowed to run."
"The certificate used to identify the website is not trusted. The reasons are listed below"
"Security Warning: The connection to this website is untrusted."
A hardware certificate expired as of September 6, 2019 and has not yet been updated by Quest with Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher for hardware driver signing.
The java warning may also occur because the computers date/time is incorrect.
This is expected behavior given the current certificate expiration date, but the "Continue" / "Close" link can be clicked in order to continue the process of using the Expert Assist Console. The KACE Desktop Authority team will provide new drivers in the next build of the product once available.
Note: This affects only Internet Explorer browser, using Chrome or Firefox to prevent this message appearance is a viable workaround.
